Foreword

It was the fall of 1989 when someone told me about "some guy in Boston" who had a unique fishing lure that did what no other lure had ever done. if you had told me at that time that I would go on to be partners with "that guy" in a business whose centerpiece was "that lure," I would have said "you're nuts."

I had never fished, except for one time in Illinois as a seven year old on a farm pond with a bobber. Never caught a fish.

Going into my first meeting with Alex Langer I was as skeptical as they come. Afterward, I was amazed at how excited I was. He was so well-versed on his market that he gave me a crash course in why the Flying Lure was going to be a phenomenal success. He made a believer out of me and I didn't even fish!

His interest in helping fellow fishermen and women catch more and bigger fish is genuine. He loves to hear of people's success out on the water. He loves to hear how people do it. And certainly his biggest thrill is learning of other people's success using the Flying Lure. He revels in it.

If you like to fish, but more important if you like to catch fish, this book will probably do more to add to your success than any other book on fishing techniques that you've read.

Alex's breezy style of writing is how he is in person. He's "real folks," cares about others, and will spend time to find out about others long before you will learn about him.

He sneaks up on you. Just like the Flying Lure.

Read and reread this book. I guarantee you will experience a new level of fishing success that you only dreamed of before, especially if you become a part of the growing Flying Lure family.

Good Luck!
